SAN DIEGO -- New England Patriots running backs LaMont Jordan and Laurence Maroney both are inactive for tonight's game against the San Diego Chargers in Qualcomm Stadium.
Sammy Morris will get the start. BenJarvus Green-Ellis, signed off the practice squad on Saturday, will play.
Also out for the Patriots are receiver Kelly Washington, linebacker Eric Alexander, center Dan Connolly, tackle Wesley Britt and linebacker Shawn Crable. Matt Gutierrez is the third quarterback.
The most prominent Chargers who have been scratched are receiver Chris Chambers and linebacker Jyles Tucker. The others are linebacker Derek Smith, guard Kynan Forney, tackle Corey Clark, tight end Kris Wilson and defensive tackle Ian Scott.
