New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow is still recovering from two fracture ribs. But head coach Rex Ryan expects Tebow to be ready Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

“He’s limited right now and we’ll see,” Ryan said Wednesday, according to the New York Daily News. “But, I guess the answer is yeah, I think he’ll be cleared to play like was he was last week.”

It’s somewhat difficult to decode Ryan’s comment. Last week against the New England Patriots, Tebow dressed but didn’t play a single snap. Doing the same thing on Sunday wouldn't make much sense.

Regardless of Tebow's availability, it's possible that Jets third-string quarterback Greg McElroy could be active for this game in the event Mark Sanchez gets injured.
