There are plenty of similarities between the Jets and Bills. Both teams have quarterback questions. Both teams have coaches on the hot seat. But the Jets and Bills also have favorable schedules down the stretch.
The Bills have just one team -- the Seattle Seahawks (6-5) -- left on their schedule with a winning record. All five opponents for the Jets have losing records. Also, both New York and Buffalo play each other in Week 17 to wrap up the season.
Here is a look at both team's December schedules:
No game is easy for the Jets with the way this team is playing. But they have an easy schedule. New York's remaining opponents have a combined record of 18-37. Jets head coach Rex Ryan needs to finish strong to ensure he will return in 2013, and this schedule certainly makes it possible.
The Bills have a slightly tougher schedule. But four of their last five games are home. Buffalo's game in Seattle is in Toronto, Canada, which technically counts as a home game on the Bills' schedule. Buffalo head coach Chan Gailey also is on the hot seat and has an opportunity to string together wins in December to improve his job security.
Although both teams are struggling at 4-7, all is not lost for the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills. There are plenty of similarities between the Jets and Bills.
