MIAMI -- The Dolphins suffered a big injury in the first half on Sunday against New England. Miami starting left tackle Jake Long has a triceps injury and his return against the Patriots is questionable.

Long was replaced at left tackle by rookie Jonathan Martin, who is the starting right tackle. Long has a lengthy history of injuries the past two years. It is one of the reasons his quality of play has dropped.

If Long doesn't return to this game, it will be a chance to see how Martin, a 2012 second-round pick, looks on the left side. Long will be an unrestricted free agent after this season. Martin is a potential replacement if Miami opts not to pay top dollar to keep Long.
