Is it possible the Buffalo Bills have been involved in the three ugliest games in the NFL this year? All in a row?

Winning ugly isn't a problem -- just as long as you finish with more points than the other team.

The Bills won their second straight road game by knocking off the Carolina Panthers 20-9 in Bank of America Stadium.

The Bills dropped a 6-3 snoozer to the Cleveland Browns in Week 5, edged out the New York Jets in overtime last week and did enough Sunday to get past the bumbling Panthers, whose only points for most of the game came when they tackled Fred Jackson in the Bills' end zone.

The Panthers outgained the Bills 425-167.

But for the third straight week, the Bills faced some atrocious quarterback play. Derek Anderson somehow won despite two completions. Mark Sanchez threw five interceptions.

Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme had nice numbers -- 27-of-44 for 325 yards -- but threw three interceptions, two of which led to 14 Bills points.

Rookie safety Jairus Byrd picked off both of them. If the Bills were to elect a team MVP right now, he'd be it. He has five interceptions and at least one in three straight games.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, making his first start for Buffalo in place of concussed Trent Edwards, was shaky at the beginning but seemed to settle into a rhythm in the second half, making some nice throws. He completed 11 of 22 passes for 123 yards and a fourth-quarter touchdown to Lee Evans.

Terrell Owens had three catches for 27 yards.
