The New England Patriots (9-3) are expected to get back a big piece to their defense for Monday's huge showdown against the Houston Texans (11-1). Patriots rookie defensive end Chandler Jones said he's prepared to return from an ankle injury that has sidelined him the past two games.
"How am I feeling? Ready to play against the Texans" Jones told ESPNBoston.com's Field Yates on Saturday.
Jones added that the final decision is up to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. But if Jones is healthy enough, there's no reason for Belichick to hold Jones back in this big game with playoff implications.
Jones has practiced all week, but on a limited basis. New England can certainly use his presence, as Jones has already established himself as arguably the team's best pass-rusher. He is tied for the team lead with Rob Ninkovich with six sacks in 10 games.
