Here are the most interesting stories Thursday in the AFC East:
The Miami Dolphins are reportedly showing interest in Kansas City Chiefs left tackle Branden Albert.
Morning take: Kansas City wants a second-round draft pick and Miami has two second-round selections. However, the bigger issue is whether the Dolphins are willing to pay another large contract extension to Albert after already doing the same with several free agents.
Buffalo Bills receiver Steve Johnson is not doing voluntary workouts because of a sore back.
Morning take: This isn’t much to worry about at this point. But Buffalo would like its best receiver in workouts sooner than later to begin to develop chemistry with quarterbacks Kevin Kolb and Tarvaris Jackson.
New York Jets general manager John Idzik has a chance to draft on his own next week.
Morning take: Idzik is definitely in charge of the Jets and already began his draft makeover. New York must use the draft to improve the roster because the team didn't make much of an impact in free agency.
Is SMU defensive end Margus Hunt a target for the New England Patriots?
Morning take: It would make sense. Hunt is a lanky pass-rusher, similar to 2012 first-round pick Chandler Jones. The Patriots need more defensive players who can get to the quarterback.
