Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC East:
Now that the NFL schedule is released, will the New England Patriots go 12-4 this season?
Morning take: New England is still the favorite to win the AFC East, and that puts the Patriots in position for a home playoff game and another postseason run. But I am not sure if this team is better or worse than last year's team. Health will be the key.
Did the Miami Dolphins get cheated with the early part of their schedule?
Morning take: We will find out right away if my sleeper pick is legit in the month of September. They have three road games against the Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints, in addition to a home game against the Atlanta Falcons. That's a rough start.
The Buffalo Bills still have 11 open spots on their roster.
Morning take: Safety Jairus Byrd will count for one space when he shows up and signs his franchise tender, and Buffalo has six draft picks. That still leaves four spots for free agents and rookie free agents.
Can the New York Jets beat star cornerback Darrelle Revis if he’s traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
Morning take: Only the zany Jets would ship their best player to their Week 1 opponent. This would be the reality if the Buccaneers complete an expected trade for Revis before the draft.
