The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for a three-way quarterback competition this offseason. Veteran free-agent signings Kevin Kolb and Tarvaris Jackson will join rookie first-round pick EJ Manuel to compete for Buffalo’s starting job.
Who will be under center for the Bills in Week 1? According to our recent AFC East poll, Kolb received the most support based on more than 7,000 votes we received. Kolb started 21 games in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals and Philadelphia Eagles. He was on his way to a successful season until he was injured.
The rookie came in second place. Manuel was not far behind Kolb with about 44 percent of the vote. He has a lot of good tools and is considered the quarterback of the future. If Manuel can be a fast learner, he could start in Week 1. You can read more about Manuel from an NFL scout’s perspective here.
Bills fans in our community do not have much confidence in Jackson. The journeyman quarterback only received about five percent of the vote to be Buffalo’s starter in Week 1.
