Doctors who performed Kelly’s surgery told the Associated Press that it went very well. Kelly, 53, was diagnosed with jaw cancer two weeks ago and told the public during a charity event earlier this week.
Kelly remains one of the most popular former Bills in Buffalo. A first-round pick in 1983, Kelly led the Bills to four straight Super Bowl appearances from 1990-93. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2002.
We have good news for the family of the Buffalo Bills. Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly had successful jaw surgery Friday and is expected to make a full recovery.
