New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick reiterated the club's Thursday night statement, telling Albert Breer of the Sporting News he fully endorses quarterback Tom Brady's medical decisions despite recent setbacks.
Brady had reconstructive left knee surgery Oct. 6 in Los Angeles. The Boston Herald on Thursday reported he since has undergone two additional surgeries to clean out a rare infection.
In confirming the story, ESPN reported the Patriots were unhappy with Brady's decision to use a doctor not of their choosing.
"I've been in communication with Tom on a regular basis, as has the organization and the medical people," Belichick told Breer. "Yes, we stand behind him 100 percent."
