MIAMI -- Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards didn't look like a Stanford grad with 11:41 left in Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.

Edwards has been such a brilliant decision-maker all season, especially late in games. He might have cost them here.

On a third-and-one play from the Dolphins' 33-yard line and trailing by four points, Edwards attempted a quarterback sneak for the first down.

Edwards ran into a pileup and extended the ball as if he were trying to score a touchdown. As soon as the ball crosses the goal line, the play is over. Not so on the 33.

Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter merely grabbed the ball out of Edwards' hands to give his team the ball and put them that much closer to victory.

But the Bills' defense forced a punt. Edwards is trotting back onto the field. The Bills have the ball on the Dolphins' 3-yard line.
