Byrd

Buffalo Bills rookie safety Jairus Byrd intercepted a pass in Sunday's loss to the Tennessee Titans.

He has intercepted at least one pass in five straight games. That's a Bills record. He is the first player with a five-game interception streak since Champ Bailey in 2005. Only two other rookies since 1960 have done it. Paul Krause and Pete Jaquess each had a streak in 1964.

Byrd has eight interceptions, tying the Bills rookie record set by Archie Matsos in 1960. Eight is the most for an NFL rookie since Anthony Henry had 10 for the Cleveland Browns in 2001.

All of Byrd's interceptions have come within five games. The last time a player had at least eight interceptions in five games was Tommy Morrow for the Oakland Raiders in 1963.
