FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was the only player not spotted at practice on Tuesday as he continues to recover from offseason back surgery.

Gronkowski remains on the active/physically unable to perform list. The Patriots will have to make a decision by Saturday on whether to keep him on the active roster or place him on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, which would keep Gronkowski out for at least the first six weeks of the regular season.

On Monday, Gronkowski was spotted on a spare practice field, working with the strength and conditioning staff.

For the second consecutive day, defensive end Jermaine Cunningham dressed in pads but worked on the side practice field after stretching with his teammates. Cunningham has missed the first three preseason games with an undisclosed injury.
