FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- For the second consecutive day, the New England Patriots had a full boat at practice, as all members of the active roster were on the field, as well as running back Shane Vereen (wrist), who was previously placed on the injured reserve list with the designation to return.
Vereen, injured during a Week 1 win, began practicing on Wednesday, activating a three-week window for the team to decide whether or not to bring him back onto the 53-man roster or keep him on injured reserve if he is not healthy enough to play. He is eligible to participate in a game starting in Week 11.
Defensive tackle Tommy Kelly (knee), cornerback Aqib Talib (hip) and running back Leon Washington (ankle) practiced again on Thursday, as that trio appears to be moving closer to a return to the field.
The Patriots practiced in full pads.
