The NFL fined Buffalo Bills safety Jairus Byrd $15,750 for striking quarterback Mike Glennon below the knee area in Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Byrd was flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play, which came on an incomplete pass on third-and-15.

The penalty extended the drive and the Buccaneers later scored a touchdown.
