It's official. It's absolute. It's indisputable.

No. 10 New England Patriots

• Preseason rating: 2
• Last week's rating: No. 10
• Best rating this week: No. 9 (Kuharsky)
• Worst rating this week: No. 10 (Chadiha, Clayton, Sando)
• Note: The Patriots opened the season as the second-best team in the AFC behind the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Patriots finished fourth, ranked last among the conference's four division champions.

No. 12 New York Jets

• Preseason rating: 23
• Last week's rating: No. 14
• Best rating this week: No. 12 (Chadiha, Clayton, Sando)
• Worst rating this week: No. 14 (Kuharsky)
• Note: Only the Cincinnati Bengals (plus-15) and New Orleans Saints (plus-14) finished with a better differential between the preseason poll and the final poll than the Jets did.

No. 21 Miami Dolphins

• Preseason rating: 15
• Last week's rating: No. 20
• Best rating this week: No. 20 (Kuharsky)
• Worst rating this week: No. 21 (Chadiha, Clayton, Sando)
• Note: The Dolphins ended up right around the spot for which they were pegged in the preseason, but between there and here they dropped to No. 24 after starting the season 0-3 and worked their way up to 13 with three games to play.

No. 24 Buffalo Bills
