Strange crowd responses in Toronto

TORONTO -- The Buffalo Bills are getting booed at their "home" game.

True rooting interests at the Rogers Centre might not be accurately demonstrated until somebody scores a touchdown here Sunday, but the Miami Dolphins have been cheered more heartily during pregame warm-ups.

The Bills were booed when they emerged from the tunnel and were booed again when they returned to their locker room.

A scan of the crowd shows a healthy amount of aqua wardrobe.

"This will be a Bills crowd," Adrian Montgomery, the Rogers Communications general manager and chief organizer for the event, told me Wednesday. "I suspect there will be a number of Miami Dolphins fans. I can't estimate how many, but the Bills will have 12 men on the field."

A source with knowledge of the box office claimed roughly 2,000 tickets were sold in Buffalo. The Rogers Centre holds a little more than 50,000 for Sunday's event.

The game has been declared a sellout for TV purposes, but tickets still were available at BillsinToronto.com on Sunday morning.
