Patriots getting knocked around in Seattle

The New England Patriots might be circling the drain in Seattle.

The reigning AFC champs need a victory in a bad way, but they're trailing the Seattle Seahawks 14-3 in the second quarter and are experiencing defensive casualties along the way.

Newly signed linebacker Junior Seau, who was surfing just a few days ago and turns 40 next month, is in the game because Tedy Bruschi was shaken up with 13:51 left in the first half.

Bruschi left the field under his own power, but was moving slowly. He had been dealing with a knee injury that caused the Patriots to dial Seau's number.

All-everything nose tackle Vince Wilfork suffered a shoulder injury on Seattle's 13-play, 87-yard touchdown drive to start the game.
