New England Patriots fantasy breakdown
ESPN fantasy overlord Matthew Berry takes a team-by-team look at the upcoming season. In this edition, he examines the New England Patriots with three categories he applies to every club.
Undervalued: Running back Fred Taylor. Berry prefaces his remark by saying Taylor might have zero value, but is much better than his average slot of 68th running back off the board in ESPN fantasy leagues. Take a flyer, Berry advises.
Overvalued: Quarterback Tom Brady. He has been a second-round selection ahead of Matt Schaub, Tony Romo and Philip Rivers even though Schaub and Romo outscored him last year.
Bold prediction: "Wes Welker is going to play all 16 games, have over 100 catches and over 1,000 yards. Listen, when you bet against Wes Welker, you lose."
