Jets not too fond of Tom Brady either
By Tim Graham
Tom Brady, the feeling is mutual.
The New York Jets don't harbor any love for the New England Patriots either.
In a piece for "The Fifth Down Blog" on NYTimes.com, Kristian R. Dyer solicited some Jets reaction to Brady's declaration he hates them and refuses to watch "Hard Knocks."
"I don't give a damn about Tom Brady," Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie said.
OK, so maybe that's more apathy than hate.
"We don’t really talk about other teams or focus on things like that," Jets guard Matt Slauson said. "We have a focus, to win the Super Bowl, and our focus isn't to impress Tom Brady."
Jets nose tackle Kris Jenkins provided the most pointed comments, jabbing Brady for the way he beseeches referees to throw roughness flags.
"At some point in time, we're going to play them, and we handle these things on the field,” Jenkins said. "When you're going to be on the field, don't be a crybaby and be Tom Brady, running to the referees and always complaining. Don't be that. We don't do that."
