Welcome to the Meadowlands
By Tim Graham
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Just arrived on scene for the big "Monday Night Football" matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets at the Meadowlands.
ESPN will have you covered like nobody's business. Also in the press box is a crew from ESPNNewYork.com that includes reporters Rich Cimini, Ohm Youngmisuk, Jane McManus and columnist Ian O'Connor. AFC North blogger James Walker will cover the Ravens angles. Seth Wickersham is here from ESPN The Magazine.
Rumor has it, some ESPN has some broadcast people here, too.
The Weather Channel forecasts thunderstorms will pass through, with a 90 percent chance of rain in the 7 p.m. hour and then clearing up are 8 p.m. Kickoff temperature should be around 70 degrees.
ESPN.com has created a pretty sweet virtual tour of the new Meadowlands stadium.
You can click on whichever version of the $1.6 billion arena you want to stroll around, decking it out in New York Jets or New York Giants themes seen on game day.
You can view the outside of the Meadowlands stadium and head inside to explore the posh suites, Coaches Club restaurant, terrace level, press room and scoreboard. Or you can come out the tunnel and stand on the 50-yard line for a 360-degree view of the stands.
