Reader mock: Bills get Von Miller; Cincy up

With the third pick in the 2011 AFC East reader mock draft, the Buffalo Bills select ... Von Miller, outside linebacker, Texas A&M.

Response for the first divisional pick in our 32-part series was tremendous, and the choice was emphatic. Miller generated more than twice as many votes as the next prospect, Louisiana State cornerback Patrick Peterson.

Clemson defensive end Da'Quan Bowers came in third, Missouri quarterback Blaine Gabbert fourth and Auburn defensive lineman Nick Fairley fifth.

Readers voted for nine different players in addition to trading down.

Miller makes sense for Buffalo, especially with him at One Bills Drive for a two-day visit with the club. He's perhaps the best pass-rusher in the draft, and the Bills are needy in that area. Only three teams had fewer sacks last year.

The Bills re-signed Shawne Merriman. Otherwise, the top outside linebackers on their roster are Chris Kelsay, Arthur Moats and Aaron Maybin. They combined for six sacks last season.

To recap the AFC East reader mock draft so far:
  1. Carolina Panthers: Auburn quarterback Cam Newton
  2. Denver Broncos: Alabama defensive tackle Marcell Dareus
  3. Buffalo Bills: Texas A&M outside linebacker Von Miller

Next up are the Cincinnati Bengals. Who will they snag?
