Patriots' defense catches a 'break'
By James Walker
The New England Patriots might have a caught a break, via some unfortunate injury news regarding New York Giants tailback Ahmad Bradshaw.
Mike Garafolo of the Neward Star-Ledger reports Bradshaw suffered a cracked bone in his foot and will be out indefinitely. This severely hurts New York's running game. Brandon Jacobs most likely will start Sunday against the Patriots and has been disgruntled and unproductive this season.
New England (5-2) is coming off another poor defensive performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Patriots rank last in the NFL in yards allowed.
Bradshaw's injury should make New York's offense less balanced and easier to defend. The Patriots need all the help they can get defensively.
