Walker's AFC East picks
By James Walker
We had our first down week in a while with a bevy of upsets in Week 15. The AFC East blog went 1-2 after nailing only the New England Patriots over the Denver Broncos.
But we have a new slate of games coming up on Christmas Eve. We plan to get back on track, so here are our selections:
Miami Dolphins (5-9) at New England Patriots (11-3), Saturday at 1 p.m. ET
Skinny: New England just has too much firepower and too much to play for to lose this game. The Patriots move one step closer to home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Walker's Pick: Patriots, 30-17
Denver Broncos (8-6) at Buffalo Bills (5-9), Saturday at 1 p.m. ET
Skinny: Tim Tebow and the Broncos have the NFL's top running team, and the Bills can't stop the run. Buffalo loses its eighth game in a row.
Walker's pick: Broncos, 21-17
New York Giants (7-7) at New York Jets (8-6), Saturday at 1 p.m. ET
Skinny: This has the feel of an ugly, defensive battle. But I think the Jets get a late field goal to improve their chances of making the postseason.
Walker's pick: Jets, 16-14
Last week: 1-2
