AFC East Homer of the Week
By James Walker
We haven't done this in a while. But we have found our latest AFC East "Homer of the Week."
Ken from Montreal writes: Projections for the upcoming season: Stevie Johnson is second best in the AFC East with 1,250 yards. Fred Jackson is best in the east 1,400 yards. C.J. Spiller is third best in the east 1,000 yards. Ryan Fitzpatrick has 4,000 yards, 35 touchdowns. Buffalo’s defense gets 50 sacks, 30 interceptions. How can anyone think they won’t win the division? And the Bills are the only team that can win the division even if their starting QB goes down.
James Walker: Well, Ken, Buffalo will have one of the NFL's most powerful offenses if Jackson and Spiller rush for 1,000 yards, and Fitzpatrick has 4,000 yards and 35 touchdowns. And if the defense gets 50 sacks and 30 picks, the Bills are playoff bound. Unfortunately, Ken, most of these stats aren’t going to happen. It’s very hard to have two 1,000-yard rushers and a 4,000-yard passer. How many plays will Buffalo get on offense this year? The Bills' defense is much improved, but I don’t project this much dominance, either. Congrats, Ken, on being our latest AFC East "Homer of the Week."
