Logan Mankins starting camp on PUP
By James Walker
Pro Bowl guard Logan Mankins is one of several veterans who will begin training camp on the active/physically unable to perform list, Mike Rodak of ESPNBoston.com reports.
Mankins unknowingly played in the Super Bowl with a torn ACL. He had corrective surgery after the Super Bowl in February but remains a question mark for Week 1 when the Patriots will travel to play the Tennessee Titans.
Mankins can come off the PUP list at any time. The Patriots also have the option this summer to put Mankins on the PUP list in the regular season if he's not ready, which would keep Mankins out for the first six games.
Other veterans on the active PUP list for training camp include offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer and linebacker Brandon Spikes.
