Morning take: Jets in first place

By James Walker

Here are the most interesting stories Monday in the AFC East: Morning take: The Jets were fortunate to leave Sun Life Stadium with a win, but they will take it. They have two tough home games coming up against the San Francisco 49ers and Houston Texans, and it was very important for New York to pad its record.
Morning take: Bills coach Chan Gailey says Fred Jackson will practice this week, which is good news. The Bills did a good job of holding onto the lead against the Cleveland Browns when Spiller went down. But the New England Patriots are coming to town and the Bills need Jackson badly to fill in for the injured Spiller.
Morning take: Welker got the playing time he should have received all season and produced with eight catches for 142 yards. It’s still unclear why New England cut his reps, but it looks like he’s back in the offense due to some injuries.
Morning take: The Dolphins are in a better spot than Buffalo, because tailback is Miami’s strongest position. The Dolphins have depth with Daniel Thomas and rookie Lamar Miller if Bush cannot play next Sunday against the undefeated Arizona Cardinals.
