Morning take: Ryan Tannehill's progress

Here are the most interesting stories Thursday in the AFC East:
Morning take: You practice how you play, and Tannehill is making strides in both areas. He's showing promise, which is good news for Miami's future.
- Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill is practicing well and it's showing up in games.
Morning take: Holmes will be returning from a season-ending foot injury next year. However, he is guaranteed $7.5 million. That price is too steep for the Jets to move on.
- Would the New York Jets cut No. 1 receiver Santonio Holmes?
Morning take: I was at the game and thought it was questionable that Williams was flagged. But the NFL will always err on the side of quarterback safety. So it's not surprising.
- Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams was fined $15,000 for a hit on New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
Morning take: It turns out defensive holding is No. 1 on the list. The secondary has drawn flags but it beats pass interference calls.
