Poll: AFC East wild card?
By James Walker
I’ve said for weeks that only one team from the AFC East -- the New England Patriots -- will make the playoffs. This would be the second year in a row the division has just one playoff representative.
But the Buffalo Bills (4-6), New York Jets (4-6) and Miami Dolphins (4-6) all remain mathematically in the hunt. So we ask our community which team has the best chance at a wild card in the AFC East?
Is it Buffalo? The Bills have the easiest schedule. They have a huge Sunday game against the Indianapolis Colts that could put Buffalo one game back. Can the Bills get hot in November and December?
Or will it be the Jets? This is a veteran team with playoff experience. However, New York’s toughest battle will be getting by the Patriots (7-3) on Thanksgiving. Do the Jets have what it takes to beat the reigning AFC champs and keep the run going?
Finally, we have the Dolphins. Miami looked in good shape three weeks ago when it was 4-3. The Dolphins have since lost three in a row and played listless football. Does Miami have enough in the tank to string together at least five wins to push for the postseason?
