Expert predictions: Upset in Foxborough?
By James Walker
The New England Patriots are favored to beat the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game. But several ESPN experts sense an upset is brewing in Foxborough.
ESPN’s panel picked the Patriots over the Ravens by an 8-4 margin. Merril Hoge, Mike Golic, Chris Mortensen, and Seth Wickersham all like Baltimore to advance to the Super Bowl.
Historically, the Ravens usually play the Patriots tough. The past three games have been decided by three points or fewer, and Baltimore won the most recent meeting in Week 3 of the regular season. So expect this game to go down to the final possessions in the fourth quarter.
By the way, ESPN's 12 experts also picked the San Francisco 49ers to beat the Atlanta Falcons by a 10-2 margin.
