Report: Rob Gronkowski surgery on hold
By James Walker
The timeline for New England Patriots Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski's return remains unknown. But according to the Boston Herald, a fourth surgery on Gronkowski's left arm will be delayed "a few more weeks" until the infection clears.
At that point Gronkowski and the Patriots will determine their next move, which most likely will lead to another surgery. Barring any further setbacks, it could take about 10 weeks for Gronkowski to recover after the surgery.
The Patriots are doing the right thing to take their time. However, each week that goes by pushes back Gronkowski's timeline to return even further.
Can New England count on Gronkowski to be healthy and play all 16 games this season? For more on this situation, check out previous posts on the subject here and here.
