Morning take: Grading the Jets' draft
By James Walker
Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC East:
Morning take: I was not overwhelmed. New York really had a chance to make an impact in this draft. But Milliner didn’t fill a need and the Jets ignored offense with the second pick. I would grade a C-plus for the first round.
Morning take: The Patriots got an extra second-, third-, fourth- and seventh-round pick from the Vikings. This essentially makes up for the three picks they lost in prior trades for Aqib Talib, Chad Johnson and Albert Haynesworth. Look for New England to build depth in this draft.
Morning take: Ireland has been very aggressive this offseason. He signed several big-name free agents and also landed one of the most dynamic players in this draft. Jordan can rush the passer and could combine with Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Wake to eventually make a good tandem.
- Does Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland deserve credit for a bold move in trading up for defensive end Dion Jordan?
Morning take: The Bills had better be right with this pick, which many have questioned. This move will define the Doug Marrone era, especially after the Bills passed over Marrone's own college quarterback -- Ryan Nassib -- and others like Geno Smith and Matt Barkley.
