Morning take: Dolphins over Patriots?
By James Walker
Here are the most interesting stories Tuesday in the AFC East:
Morning take: Miami made a lot of improvements and certainly closed the gap with New England. But the difference was so great that I don’t think the Dolphins surpassed New England in one offseason. Still, Miami has a good chance to challenge for a wild card.
Morning take: New England coach Bill Belichick is the biggest, most singular voice in the franchise. It’s probably best that the team doesn’t have too many cooks in the kitchen. The Patriots are doing fine with a staff of 17 coaches.
Morning take: If that’s the case, Sanchez should win the quarterback competition with rookie Geno Smith. However, Sanchez is only a 55.1-percent passer in his career. So there's a good chance that Mornhinweg is overstating things.
Morning take: Much of that will depend on the ability of Buffalo’s rookie class to learn the NFL game. Quarterback EJ Manuel, receiver Robert Woods and linebacker Kiko Alonso all have a chance to win starting jobs right away in training camp.
