Lynch comes alive for Buffalo
TORONTO -- Marshawn Lynch is alive.
It took the Buffalo Bills running back 13 weeks, but he finally looked like a Pro Bowler on their first drive of the second quarter against the New York Jets in the Rogers Centre.
Lynch ran four times for 59 yards, trudging the final 15 for the game's first touchdown to give Buffalo a 10-6 lead.
Lynch, who made the Pro Bowl as an alternate last year, has been ineffective. He was suspended the first three games of the year and was overtaken by Fred Jackson as Buffalo's primary back. Lynch entered Thursday with 278 rushing yards and one touchdown.
Two of Lynch's carries on the scoring drive went farther than his longest of the season before Thursday. His best run had been for 14 yards, but he ripped off a 35-yarder one play before he plowed 15 yards into the end zone.
