Miami Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said he's pulling for the New York Jets and New England Patriots to tie Thursday night.
But Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter took a side.
He's rooting for the Jets.
"I don't really care for either one of them, but hopefully they beat up on each other," Porter told reporters in Davie, Fla. "Hopefully, they split. So who won the last game?"
The Patriots won in Week 2, Porter was reminded.
"Then I need the Jets to win it just to cause some confusion in the division," Porter said.
The Dolphins are 5-4, one game behind the 6-3 Jets and Patriots. Unless Sparano gets his wish, however, one of those teams will be in first place Friday morning.
