MIAMI -- The Oakland Raiders are on the road, got pulverized on their opening drive and then allowed the Miami Dolphins to go 93 yards for a touchdown on their first possession.
The tone has been set Sunday afternoon in Dolphin Stadium. The start was one of those where two Raiders fans turn to each other and say in unison, "It's over."
Ted Ginn took a reverse 40 yards for a touchdown to cap a nine-play drive that lasted 9:51 and give the Dolphins a 7-0 lead.
The Raiders stuffed Ricky Williams for a 2-yard loss on the first play, pinning the Dolphins on their own 5-yard line. But a couple of Raiders offside penalties gave the Dolphins breathing room and precious momentum.
It should be noted teams traveling from the Pacific Time Zone to the Eastern Time Zone this year are 0-12.
