TORONTO -- Although it started off as a train wreck, we just had an ultra-cool moment in the Rogers Centre before Sunday's game against the Bills and Dolphins.
Divine Brown sang a fine rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner," and then turned the microphone over to Kreesha Turner for "O Canada."
Turner, who according to the game program, is a Canadian recording artist who has collaborated with Alicia Keys and Janet Jackson. Sadly, Turner didn't collaborate well with her national anthem.
She butchered it like back bacon.
About a verse in, the crowd got restless and began to boo.
But then they quickly overtook Turner with what turned into a stirring rendition of one of the world's great patriotic songs.
It was the type of sports moment that gives you goose bumps. Even in a climate-controlled dome.
