The Miami Dolphins are parting ways with one of their most productive players from last year's amazing turnaround campaign.
The Dolphins on Sunday picked up rookie tight end Davon Drew off waivers from the Baltimore Ravens. To make room, the Dolphins are expected to cut veteran David Martin, who has been battling knee trouble.
Martin had three touchdown receptions last year, more than any Dolphins wide receiver or running back and second on the team only to tight end Anthony Fasano's seven touchdown catches.
Martin gained a career-high 450 yards on 31 catches.
The Ravens drafted Drew in the fifth round out of East Carolina. He's a receiving end who had 43 receptions for 695 yards and three touchdowns last season.
