Morning take: Stephen Ross' show

2/24/2014

Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories Monday from around the Web:

  • Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald writes Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is showing he's in charge in 2014.

Morning take: Ross is making sure the coach and general manager report to him. He wants to make sure people are more accountable within his billion dollar organization.

  • Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post reports some within the Dolphins are criticizing the Ted Wells report.

Morning take: The Wells report pulled back the curtain on Miami’s locker-room culture – and it wasn’t a pretty sight. But there were blind spots that were not addressed.

Morning take: This group was inconsistent and completely tanked in the final two games. That’s why new offensive coordinator Bill Lazor replaced Mike Sherman.

  • Chris Perkins of the Sun Sentinel cites a report that says cornerback Brent Grimes may not get the franchise tag.

Morning take: I expect the Dolphins to keep Grimes in the fold either way. If the two sides can’t reach a long-term extension, the tag could be coming soon.
