Morning take: Browns sleeper?

5/20/2010

Here are the most interesting stories in the AFC North:

Morning take: Are the Browns this year's sleeper in the division? I want to see more before I answer that.

  • Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer writes Bengals veteran tight end Reggie Kelly is setting a good example for first-rounder Jermaine Gresham.

Morning take: Gresham has the physical tools to succeed in the NFL. But Kelly is a good mentor to teach the rookie the mental and technical side of playing the position.

  • Ryan Mink from the Baltimore Ravens' team site takes at look at the rookie tight ends.

Morning take: Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta both have promise. The Ravens are hopeful at least one rookie steps up and produces behind starter Todd Heap.

  • Joe Starkey of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review believes the Steelers' cornerbacks are on the spot this year.

Morning take: To varying degrees, the passing games of Baltimore, Cincinnati and Cleveland should all be improved this year. That's why it's important for Troy Polamalu to be healthy and Pittsburgh's cornerbacks to play better in coverage.
