It's been a rough couple of weeks for the Baltimore Ravens -- and the bad news continues.
FoxworthBaltimore suffered the first major injury of training camp in the AFC North as No. 1 cornerback Domonique Foxworth has a torn ACL. According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Foxworth suffered the injury during a walk-through on Wednesday.
The injury severely hampers an already thin secondary, as fellow cornerbacks Fabian Washington and Lardarius Webb are trying to return from major knee surgeries. Safety Ed Reed also is rehabbing following offseason hip surgery.
Foxworth entered training camp as one of Baltimore's few healthy and proven cornerbacks. This is the third ACL tear for Baltimore's cornerbacks in less than a year. The injury typically takes about nine months to a year of rehab, which means Foxworth is done for the season.
Baltimore is considered by many to be a Super Bowl contender, but a recent string of bad luck has plagued the team. Foxworth's injury puts even more importance on Webb and Washington getting healthy before the start of the regular season.
