Here are the most interesting storylines in the AFC North:
- Reports out of Cincinnati indicate Bengals receiver Chad Johnson (ankle) is a game-time decision Monday night against the Green Bay Packers.
Morning take: There's no reason for Johnson to play tonight. He should take his time until his right ankle is 100 percent.
- The Pittsburgh Steelers signed veteran quarterback Byron Leftwich to a one-year deal Sunday to replace backup Charlie Batch, who broke his collarbone over the weekend.
Morning take: Pittsburgh made the right choice in taking Leftwich over Daunte Culpepper. Leftiwch is younger and more accepting of his backup role.
- Another fight broke out Sunday at training camp with the Baltimore Ravens.
Morning take: No surprise with the way this group is knocking heads this summer. The Ravens will be pretty tough if they make it out of camp with enough healthy bodies.
- Cleveland Browns receiver Braylon Edwards was hospitalized over the weekend after cutting his right heel on a teammate's cleat and needing stitches.
Morning take: Memo to Edwards: get in, get out and get well. Minor injuries have a way of becoming major injuries in Cleveland, and the Browns could ill-afford to lose your services.
