Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC North:

  • Baltimore Ravens leader and middle linebacker Ray Lewis has a message for the New York Jets.
Morning take: Expect a lot of talking on both sides leading up to this high-profile season opener. This should be one of the most intense games in Week 1.

  • Rashard Mendenhall's benching early last season turned out to be a turning point for the Pittsburgh Steelers running back.
Morning take: That occurred less than a year ago, but it feels much longer. Mendenhall has done all the right things since.
Morning take: The starters didn't look great in the preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys. But it's very early.
Morning take: Moore may be the best receiving tight end the Browns have. He's one of my sleeper picks in Cleveland.
