Here are the most interesting stories Monday in the AFC North:
- Baltimore Ravens leading receiver Derrick Mason says he's not going to "pitch a fit" about his contract situation.
Morning take: Mason let the team know he's unhappy, but it doesn't appear this situation will intensify any further. We will still keep an eye on this as the team prepares for this week's mandatory minicamp.
- The Cincinnati Bengals may have found a rookie surprise in undrafted free agent Quan Cosby.
Morning take: Cosby has an uphill climb with the Bengals, who have a deep receiving corps mixed with experience (Chad Ocho Cinco, Laveranues Coles) and youth (Chris Henry, Andre Caldwell, Jerome Simpson).
- Cleveland Browns sixth-round pick Don Carey said he grew up in a family full of Pittsburgh Steelers fans.
Morning take: Will love of family or love for the Steelers prevail for the Careys twice a year?
- Speaking of the Steelers, starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said inactivity this offseason helped him get back to 100 percent.
Morning take: If anyone needed to rest his body, it was Roethlisberger. It is vital that he doesn't take a similar pounding in 2009.
