Here are the top stories Friday in the AFC North:
- ESPN.com did an interesting chat with Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowl safety Troy Polamalu.
Morning take: Polamalu, who is from California, says he is now a Pittsburgh guy. Polamalu even roots for the Pirates, which is hard for even some natives.
- Cincinnati Bengals kicker Shayne Graham is still not happy that he received the franchise tag in February.
Morning take: Graham, like most players, would prefer a long-term deal. What is interesting is Graham says the Bengals aren't making a "serious effort" to extend him while the team says it still wants to negotiate.
- While we are on the subject of kickers, the Baltimore Ravens have two interesting kickers in competition this summer in Steve Hauschka and Graham Gano.
Morning take: Neither kicker stood out in minicamp, but the Ravens are hopeful at least one of these players emerge this summer.
- Here is a look at new Cleveland Browns safety Abram Elam's Web site.
Morning take: The site needs a little updating, but I'm sure Elam is very busy with offseason workouts.
