Morning take: Steelers predictions

August, 31, 2010
Here are the most interesting stories Tuesday in the AFC North: Morning take: These projections have Pittsburgh hovering around eight or nine victories. What's your prediction?

  • Baltimore Ravens receiver Mark Clayton (concussion) will miss Thursday's preseason finale but should be ready for their regular-season opener against the New York Jets.
Morning take: Along with Donte' Stallworth (foot), Baltimore is banged up at receiver. But Clayton's return when it matters will be a nice boost.

  • The Cincinnati Bengals' medical team is under scrutiny again. This time, the agent for released linebacker Rashad Jeanty said the team misdiagnosed his leg injury.
Morning take: This has been an awful week for Cincinnati. Injuries are a big part of the NFL, and the Bengals need to look into these issues or lose the trust of their players.

  • Cleveland Browns rookie tailback Montario Hardesty will make his NFL debut Thursday against the Chicago Bears.
Morning take: Despite missing all of training camp, Hardesty is getting a lot of hype after a solid spring. Now it's time to see what he brings to an already crowded backfield in Cleveland.
