Will Ravens catch Darrelle Revis slipping?

"Revis Island" is never a fun place to be for NFL receivers. But if there was ever a time to pay a visit, this is it.

Darrelle Revis -- in my opinion the NFL's top cornerback -- has less than a week to polish his skills after missing all of training camp and the preseason due to an ugly and lengthy contract dispute. The time off could help the Baltimore Ravens, who travel to play Revis and the New York Jets on "Monday Night Football."
The Jets paid Revis $46 million, because he's a huge part of everything New York does defensively. Despite a 36-day holdout, do not expect Jets coach Rex Ryan to lighten Revis' workload against Baltimore's trio of great receivers: Anquan Boldin, Derrick Mason and T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
But what if Revis is a bit rusty and blows an assignment? What if he's a half-step slow, at times, because he hasn't played at game speed since January? In a high-profile game between two Super Bowl contenders, any slip or two by Revis could be the difference in New York or Baltimore coming out victorious.
The Jets will spend the next few days getting Revis up to speed, while Baltimore hopes less than a week of preparation isn't enough for Revis to be back in rare form.
