The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals are on the clock -- and it has nothing to do with the NFL draft.
Both AFC North teams have exactly one week to work out long-term deals with Ravens defensive end/linebacker Terrell Suggs and Bengals kicker Shayne Graham, who were awarded franchise tags during the offseason. The deadline is July 15.
Since we first brought up this topic last week, it has been pretty quiet in Baltimore and Cincinnati.
Suggs said recently that both parties are close but there is still no word of an imminent deal. The Bengals also said in the past that they would like to give Graham a long-term extension. But with just one week left, chances are dwindling.
Suggs and Graham are both upset with their current situations. Will one or both of these players be happy by this time next week?
Stay tuned.
