Here are the most interesting stories in the AFC North:
- Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn says leadership is a very important part of his game.
Morning take: Quinn does bring intangibles that will help him as an NFL quarterback. But his play will ultimately determine if he wins the starting job in Cleveland.
- With the franchise tag deadline looming Wednesday, no long-term deal appears imminent for Cincinnati Bengals kicker Shayne Graham.
Morning take: This would mean Graham is the second AFC North kicker unhappy with his contract this season, joining Phil Dawson of the Browns.
- Here is another Q&A on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Morning take: We've had a lot of these stories in the division the past few days. It must be that kind of week.
- Baltimore Ravens receiver Derrick Mason abruptly retires, leaving a major void in the starting lineup.
Morning take: Receiver depth was a weakness for Baltimore before Mason left the team. Now the Ravens have some major work to do in a short time.
